The Community and Pro versions of our CMS have an impressive range of features built-in.
Who would believe you can have a website supporting hundreds of HTML pages, documents, news, picture gallery, events, adverts, discussion forum, search, multi-language support, content versioning, a friendly interface and an enthusiastic support team for less than £1,000?
In addition to the powerful features of TRIBiQ CMS, the Enterprise Edition includes further extended functionality. Further details of the individual features are available via the menu to the right.
Tribiq CMS is offered under two different licensing schemes. By adopting a dual license strategy, Tribiq software is now largely distributed and this brings vast amounts of benificial feedback to our products.
To balance this, we operate a commercial business which provides genuine and reliable support for customers who need the backing of a commercial enterprise behind the solutions they choose. With over 10 years' experience in the internet business, Tribiq is now a mature company with a broad and talented skill set, ready to offer such support.
Tribiq CMS is available under the GNU GPL (General Public License), probably the world's most popular Open Source License.
Under the GPL, anyone is at liberty to freely use and distribute Tribiq CMS, provided they abide by the terms of the GPL.
As of version 5.0.4 of Tribiq CMS, GPL version 3 now applies (prior to this Tribiq CMS/TribalCMS operated as GPL version 2). It is a requirement that the authors of Tribiq CMS are given credit for producing the software. This requires that any site owner who is installing or running Tribiq CMS should place a hyperlink to http://tribiq.com in the footer of each template of each site they produce or operate. This link should be entitled "Powered by Tribiq".
Credit given to Tribiq CMS in this way helps support our efforts to offer the CMS as a free system.
If a user purchases a Tribiq Commercial License, Tribiq CMS may be operated free from the restricitions of the GPL and a Tribiq-powered website does not require a credit to Tribiq (see above). However, commercial licenses of Tribiq CMS may not be redistributed. Commerical licenses still provide Tribiq CMS in open source form, so that designers and developers may still delve into the CMS code to add their own enhancements.
There is a a Single-site Commercial License which allows Tribiq CMS to be used on a single site (website or extranet), with a single content database and on a single IP address.
A special Multi-site Commercial License is available with the Tribiq CMS Multi-site system. This allows customers to run any number of websites and content databases under a single global database and on a single IP address.
For enterprise users, other options are available, just contact us.
There are also additional Enterprise-level Commerical Modules including newsletter, subscriptions and eCommerce systems, available only to Commercial License holders. Commercial Modules are available as either open source or runtime-only encoded source.
